SAIGON MONO

...is an exhibition focused solely on black and white photographs captured on the streets of Saigon (aka Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam).  Saigon, as its still affectionately referred to by the locals, is in South Vietnam, and is the biggest, economic and social hub in Vietnam.  It is also the most densely populated city in the country, thus giving ample photo opportunities to photographers to capture.

Hosted and organised by a group of photography enthusiasts from both Vietnam and around the World, who now call Saigon home, came together as the Southern Photo Club to put this together themselves.  Saigon Mono ran from the

14th - 29th of November, 2020 at the Bloq, in the cool and trendy Thao Dien district in Saigon.

Featuring 14 of the most promising black and white photographers in the City, Saigon Mono showcases the City of Saigon through their lens, which each depicting his/her own unique vision.  Each of these photographers were specifically selected to ensure a wide spectrum of the city is reflected; from people, landscape, culture, architecture; something for everyone, and reflecting the vibrance and diversity of the city.

Saigon Mono also came together to help those in need.  All proceeds from sale of pictures went toward The Blue Dragon Children's Foundation, providing aid, relief & restoration to the victims of severe flooding in Central Vietnam then.

The launch of this site marks Saigon Mono's 1st Anniversary.  We have now moved our exhibition into the digital space, to bring this exhibition to you, and audiences around the World, to share in our love of the city and our passion.  We hope you enjoy the pictures as much as we had taking them, and to  share our joy in celebrating the city of Saigon.

with love,

The Southern Photo Club
